I should be ashamed of myself....

I guess I am, otherwise I wouldn't be updating my blog.

My thesis is progressing so slowly that it's painful, but I have to finish because if I'm already tired of working on this now, what would happen if I have to spend yet another year working on this? If only I had more self motivation...

I just want to finish and start something new! Say model an awesome new character or FOOD. I want to make a giant library of 3D food! I'll start off with something simple like a nice spongy waffle. Then slowly move to characters.... but I kindof suck at character design. On the other hand, just sitting around, eating cake and playing games also sounds like a great idea. And travel. I want to go to Europe....

A First Glance

This is Ophelia, the main character of my thesis which is due in a year's time. I still need to give her some hair and a set of teeth, but I think she's coming out quite nicely.

A Hello to All and a Bit of Awkwardness

Hi. So... I attend the School of Visual Arts, majoring in Computer Arts. As of now, I aspire to be a 3D modeler. I specialize in using Maya but am also proficient in photoshop, illustrator, after effects and such. So here are some examples of what i can do -- fairly simple objects I've modeled recently. Will do more organic modeling as time goes on and when I get my own free time next month =)

An iphone. Without all the side buttons and stuff.
Simple, clean and quick.



















Next up is a street sign, the type you find on highways telling you which exit to take.
Again, simple and quick.




Finally a character! Unfortunately it's stuck in wireframe mode and I didn't think it was worth dealing with at this time. Maybe my laptop's just not powerful enough?
